Although a couple of weeks ago he took his first tentative solo steps, yesterday’s walk in the park is much closer to the real deal….Don’t mind the parents; we’re kind of excited, and thrilled that we both got to be there to see him go.
This morning my bike was stolen from outside of our house. We had placed my bike and Scott’s (with O’s baby seat on it) outside our open door. Scott ran to change his contact lens, and when I picked up O to take him outside to load him up, I realized that we had […]
This photo is not connected to the post, but we all know you come here to see O! Food has been on my mind lately. The bad news– Oliver is allergic to peanuts. Which is kind of a big deal– as in no Thai restaurants, hassles at […]
Just to the right of tooth #4 (he’s getting the two on top) in comes tooth #5. This may explain some of the sleepless night we had last night. Otherwise Oliver is a champ, only mildly affected by the teeth eruption.
We got a bunch of books from our friends the Memas before they moved to Sweden. O and Scott have been enjoying the treasure.
I can’t remember life without Oliver, and yet I also don’t feel entirely oriented to life with him. I just started back to work (fading in, three days a week to four, to five (eek– hoping to find a way to negotiate less time at the office– wish me luck!)). Today, I left work, as […]
A few weeks ago, we went to Sandy Point, a beach on the Chesapeake Bay. It was fun and really felt like summer. But it also revealed that Baby O needed some gear for avoiding sun. When we got home I bought him some Baby Banz sunglasses. And a super light UV Blanket. I also […]
Scott is super dad and took O for a shot today. And he sent me a picture (pre-shot)
I have been thinking a lot about clouds. This is a bit bizarre and perhaps these thoughts come from the fact that I am foggy brained from adding work into the new normal of hanging with O and Scott, but I also think that it is a metaphor from nature that can help me navigate. […]
Head control here we come. The docs say 5 minutes of Tummy, tummy, tummy time a day (or some tummy time with every diaper change). We have not been tracking it that closely, but O seems to like it enough, especially with the bolster that came with the activity mat. Maybe the Netherlands Brazil game […]
Little O is 4 weeks old today. And he’s outgrow his newborn onsies. I have wanted to write some reflections for a while, so here goes, from the iPhone while nursing. Some things I have been thinking about: 1) He is a little person, and a full fledged member of our family. This may seem […]
No words necessary.
Our friend Matt came to meet Oliver yesterday. O peed through the diaper and tagged Matt. (notice wet spot on M’s shirt). Now they are forever bonded. Thanks for being agreat sport Matt! And visitors, be warned.
Oliver is testing out the bouncy seat that his cousin Ansel test drove for him. It seems a little big & he’s happy to sit without any movement, but I think it might be a winner in the long run. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday am with a little MoTab “Peace Like […]
When not eating, or being held or fussing (between 11pm-2am):
